Project activities

The BGB-VET project is organised into six interconnected work packages, each designed to address specific objectives while contributing to the overarching goal of gender equality in VET.

How we work

The project follows a structured methodology based on PRINCE2 principles, ensuring high-quality results and adherence to schedule. Each work package builds upon the previous one, creating a coherent pathway from research to implementation.

Monthly virtual management meetings, semi-annual partner reports, and continuous quality monitoring ensure that all activities remain aligned with project objectives and gender equality metrics.

Our structured approach

Five core work packages deliver the project’s innovative outputs, supported by continuous project management throughout the 36-month implementation period.

  • Researchers analysing survey questionnaire data on a screen, representing the collection of 600+ responses from teachers, staff and students across six countries
    Lead: TUI (Ireland)

Work Package 2 – Gender Equality Framework Analysis in VET

Developing a complete Gender Equality Framework Analysis through collecting and analysing data from 6 participating countries, including 600+ questionnaire responses from teachers, administrative staff, and students, resulting in an evidence-based report with 12+ strategies and 6+ policy recommendations.

    • Research methodology
    • 600+ survey responses
    • 6 national reports
    • Framework analysis report
  • Person wearing a VR headset engaged in an interactive virtual simulation, illustrating the immersive AI-enhanced workplace scenarios being designed for VET learners
    Lead: OPC (Italy)

Work Package 3 – Design of AI-enhanced virtual scenarios

Creating three interactive virtual scenarios addressing workplace discrimination in VET sectors, with AI-supported decision trees and feedback mechanisms. Each scenario focuses on specific gender bias situations including discrimination in hiring, career advancement, and workplace stereotypes.
